Quite a hazy/cloudy afternoon but while there was some hint of the Sun about I decided to try and get a quick peek at sunspot 848.

Sunspot 848

Did a quick check with the eclipse shades and the naked eye but couldn't see any hint of 848.

Quickly dragged the Solarscope outside to see if I could see it with that. Due to cloud it was hard to see at first but as clearer patches passed by I managed to catch a glimpse and counted around 10 individual spots of varying sizes. I would have attempted a sketch but the cloud kept getting in the way. Fingers crossed that we have clearer skies tomorrow.
