Another very unsettled day. Lots of cloud and very windy. Had a short clear spell between clouds so took the Solarscope out to do a quick sunspot count. |

Through the Solarscope I couldn't see any sunspots. The disc of the Sun appeared to be totally clear. Unlike yesterday I couldn't see any variation on the surface. However, the atmosphere was quite unsteady (the image of the Sun was shimmering) and the gusty conditions made it hard to keep the Solarscope still. |
