Astronomy has been a hobby/interest of mine for as long as I can remember. In early 2005, after a long absence from active observational astronomy, I purchased a telescope (the last one I owned was a 3" terrestrial refractor some 20 years ago) and have finally ceased to be an armchair astronomer — now I'm weather-watching and wishing for long, clear nights again.

To coincide with this renewed interest I've decided to create this astronomy site. The aim is to document details about the equipment I use, to keep online logs of my observing sessions and to provide a central location for other astronomy related information I find useful and which might be useful for others.
